Does Mauviel 1830 warranty their products?
Mauviel 1830 offers lifetime warranty for manufacturer's defects. We will replace any item with the same or similar item, if the item fails during use. Misuse, water spots, and peeling on handles are not covered under warranty. Warranty not effective for commercial use.

Mauviel 1830 Warranty
Mauviel 1830 will repair or replace any item found defective in material, construction or workmanship under normal use and following care instructions. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse.
Retinning tin lined cookware is not included in Mauviel’s limited lifetime warranty. Since tin is a naturally soft metal retinning is normal maintenance on tin lined cookware. Daily wear and tear is not covered under Mauviel’s 1830 warranty
In order to keep your pans in the best condition and under warranty:
Do not use high heat for a long period of time. Do not leave empty pan on a heated burner for an extended period of time. For items that are not dishwasher safe, Do not use in dishwasher. Do not use metal utensils on the non-stick cooking surface. The use of scouring pads, steel wool, abrasive cleansers, bleach and/or oven cleaners is not recommended and can scratch or damage your cookware. Misuse of your cookware will void your lifetime warranty. Bleach will erode the Stainless Steel interior and should not be used on any Mauviel cookware.
Can I order items that are available in France and not the USA?
Mauviel 1830 does special order products that are available outside the USA. Please contact us at customerhelp@mauviel.com for more information.
Do handles stay cool while cooking?
Brass & cast iron handles will get hot on the stove top. Stainless Steel handles will stay cool on the stove top. All handles will get hot if used in the oven.
Is copper cookware hard to maintain?
No, actually it's easier to maintain than stainless steel. Copper is a very soft highly polished metal that releases food very easily. Stainless steel is a very tough metal with a rough surface that holds on to food and makes it difficult to clean.
