Mauviel nonstick cookware contains the following intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS): polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), and fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP). These chemicals are intentionally added during manufacturing to provide nonstick properties and remain present in the final product. PTFE, PFA, and FEP are listed on California's Candidate Chemicals List (CECBP – Priority Chemicals). The sale of nonstick cookware containing intentionally added PFAS is restricted or prohibited in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, and Minnesota. All our products are approved by the Federal Food and Drug Administration, including the relevant requirements of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations governing the safe use of substances in contact with food.

California Assembly Bill 1200 (“A.B. 1200”), Colorado House Bill 22-1345 (“H.B. 22-1345”), and Connecticut Public Act 24-59 (“P.A. 24-59”) require manufacturers of cookware to disclose the presence of certain chemicals that are intentionally added to the handle of the product or in any product surface that comes into contact with food or beverages. California’s A.B. 1200 applies to chemicals identified on California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) Candidate Chemicals List, Colorado H.B. 22-1345 applies to PFAS chemicals, and Connecticut P.A. 24-59 requires notice to purchasers that cookware contains intentionally added PFAS.

Connecticut P.A. 24-59 Disclosure Details:

NOTICE: Mauviel PTFE-coated nonstick cookware contains intentionally added PFAS — polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), and fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) — deliberately added during manufacture to perform the specific function of providing a nonstick cooking surface.

Colorado H.B. 22-1345 Disclosure Details:

PTFE coated products contain PFAS chemicals (polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP)), which are used for their non-stick properties.
